Arcsecond Positions of UGC Galaxies
We present accurate B1950 and J2000 positions for all confirmed galaxiesin the Uppsala General Catalog (UGC). The positions were measuredvisually from Digitized Sky Survey images with rms uncertaintiesσ<=[(1.2")2+(θ/100)2]1/2,where θ is the major-axis diameter. We compared each galaxymeasured with the original UGC description to ensure high reliability. The full position list is available in the electronic version only.

Photometric Properties of Kiso Ultraviolet-Excess Galaxies in the Lynx-Ursa Major Region
We have performed a systematic study of several regions in the sky wherethe number of galaxies exhibiting star formation (SF) activity isgreater than average. We used Kiso ultraviolet-excess galaxies (KUGs) asour SF-enhanced sample. By statistically comparing the KUG and non-KUGdistributions, we discovered four KUG-rich regions with sizes of~10^degx10^deg. One of these regions corresponds spatially to a filamentof length ~60 h^-1 Mpc in the Lynx-Ursa Major region (alpha~9^h-10^h,delta~42^deg-48^deg). We call this ``the Lynx-Ursa Major (LUM)filament.'' We obtained V(RI)_C surface photometry of 11 of the KUGs inthe LUM filament and used these to investigate the integrated colors, the distribution of SF regions, the morphologies, and the localenvironments. We found that these KUGs consist of distorted spiralgalaxies and compact galaxies with blue colors. Their star formationoccurs in the entire disk and is not confined to just the centralregions. The colors of the SF regions imply that active star formationin the spiral galaxies occurred 10^7-8 yr ago, while that in the compactobjects occurred 10^6-7 yr ago. Though the photometric characteristicsof these KUGs are similar to those of interacting galaxies or mergers, most of these KUGs do not show direct evidence of merger processes.

The far-infrared properties of the CfA galaxy sample. I - The catalog
IRAS flux densities are presented for all galaxies in the Center forAstrophysics magnitude-limited sample (mB not greater than 14.5)detected in the IRAS Faint Source Survey (FSS), a total of 1544galaxies. The detection rate in the FSS is slightly larger than in thePSC for the long-wavelength 60- and 100-micron bands, but improves by afactor of about 3 or more for the short wavelength 12- and 25-micronbands. This optically selected sample consists of galaxies which are, onaverage, much less IR-active than galaxies in IR-selected samples. Itpossesses accurate and complete redshift, morphological, and magnitudeinformation, along with observations at other wavelengths.

KISO survey for ultraviolet-excess galaxies. XII
Presented here are the twelfth list and identification charts of theultraviolet-excess galaxies which have been detected on the multi-colorplates taken with the Kiso Schmidt telescope for 10 survey fields. Inthe sky area of some 300 square degrees 564 objects are catalogued downto the photographic magnitude of about 18.

A survey of galaxy redshifts. IV - The data
The complete list of the best available radial velocities for the 2401galaxies in the merged Zwicky-Nilson catalog brighter than 14.5mz and with b (II) above +40 deg or below -30 deg ispresented. Almost 60 percent of the redshifts are from the CfA surveyand are accurate to typically 35 km/s.
