The UZC-SSRS2 Group Catalog
We apply a friends-of-friends algorithm to the combined Updated ZwickyCatalog and Southern Sky Redshift Survey to construct a catalog of 1168groups of galaxies; 411 of these groups have five or more members withinthe redshift survey. The group catalog covers 4.69 sr, and all groupsexceed the number density contrast threshold, δρ/ρ=80. Wedemonstrate that the groups catalog is homogeneous across the twounderlying redshift surveys; the catalog of groups and their membersthus provides a basis for other statistical studies of the large-scaledistribution of groups and their physical properties. The medianphysical properties of the groups are similar to those for groupsderived from independent surveys, including the ESO Key Programme andthe Las Campanas Redshift Survey. We include tables of groups and theirmembers.

Compact groups in the UZC galaxy sample
Applying an automatic neighbour search algorithm to the 3D UZC galaxycatalogue (Falco et al. \cite{Falco}) we have identified 291 compactgroups (CGs) with radial velocity between 1000 and 10 000 kms-1. The sample is analysed to investigate whether Tripletsdisplay kinematical and morphological characteristics similar to higherorder CGs (Multiplets). It is found that Triplets constitute lowvelocity dispersion structures, have a gas-rich galaxy population andare typically retrieved in sparse environments. Conversely Multipletsshow higher velocity dispersion, include few gas-rich members and aregenerally embedded structures. Evidence hence emerges indicating thatTriplets and Multiplets, though sharing a common scale, correspond todifferent galaxy systems. Triplets are typically field structures whilstMultiplets are mainly subclumps (either temporarily projected orcollapsing) within larger structures. Simulations show that selectioneffects can only partially account for differences, but significantcontamination of Triplets by field galaxy interlopers could eventuallyinduce the observed dependences on multiplicity. An image database. II. Catalogue between δ=-30deg and δ=70deg.
A preliminary list of 68.040 galaxies was built from extraction of35.841 digitized images of the Palomar Sky Survey (Paper I). For eachgalaxy, the basic parameters are obtained: coordinates, diameter, axisratio, total magnitude, position angle. On this preliminary list, weapply severe selection rules to get a catalog of 28.000 galaxies, wellidentified and well documented. For each parameter, a comparison is madewith standard measurements. The accuracy of the raw photometricparameters is quite good despite of the simplicity of the method.Without any local correction, the standard error on the total magnitudeis about 0.5 magnitude up to a total magnitude of B_T_=17. Significantsecondary effects are detected concerning the magnitudes: distance toplate center effect and air-mass effect.

A volume-limited sample of IRAS galaxies to 4000 km/s, 3: CCD photometry from Palomar and Tololo observatories
An all-sky, quasi-volume-limited sample of 251 spiral galaxies within4000 km/s has been extracted from the redshift survey of InfraredAstronomy Satellite (IRAS) galaxies by Strauss (1992). Distance modulifor these objects estimated via the Tully-Fisher (TF) method allow thepeculiar velocity field and the cosmological density parameter to beconstrained within this volume. The TF relation we exploit relatesdeprojected neutral hydrogen line width to near-infrared luminosity.Herein we present I and V band photometry for 159 members of this sampleobtained with charge coupled device (CCD) cameras at Palomar and Tololoobservatories. Image processing and photometric calibration proceduresare described. Twenty seven objects with multiple calibratedobservations suggest that isophotal I band magnitudes are reproduced toequal to or less than 0.05 mag precision at sigmaI = 23.5 magarcsec-2, and that systematic run-to-run offsets are limitedto equal to or less than 0.05 I mag.

Colour-selected IRAS galaxies - A comparative investigation of their radio properties
We report the results of VLA observations of two complete samples ofIRAS galaxies, one 'normal' and the other selected to have warm FIRspectra similar to those of Arp 220 and other ultraluminous infraredgalaxies. We find that these samples are indeed significantly differentin the sense that the color-selected galaxies have more centrallycondensed, higher surface brightness, and flatter spectrum radioemission in common with high-luminosity IRAS galaxies. Their FIR/radioratios are consistent with a star formation origin for the radioemission.

Binary Starbursts in Normal and Colour Selected IRAS Galaxies
This paper is the first in a series on a comparative study of 'normal'and colour-selected IRAS galaxies, presenting VLA observations of twocomplete samples. In agreement with other workers we find that ourIRAS-selected galaxies occur in groups but there is a high percentage ofsystems in which we detect radio emission from both galaxies. We discussin terms of the perturbations induced during an interaction why all suchpairs are not observed as binary starbursts.

A 21 CM survey of the Pisces-Perseus supercluster. IV - Addenda to the declination zone 21.5 deg to 33.5 deg
Using the 305-m Arecibo telescope, 21-cm line data on 472 disk galaxiesin the Pisces-Perseus supercluster have been obtained. Data on galaxiessmaller than 1 arcmin are presented for the declination strips coveredin previous studies (Giovanelli and Haynes, 1985 and Giovanelli et al.,1986). Tables of the 21-cm line data for this region are presented.

KISO survey for ultraviolet-excess galaxies. I
Lists and identification charts of the ultraviolet-excess galaxies whichhave been detected on the multi-color plates taken with the Kiso Schmidttelescope are presented for the first 10 survey fields. Catalogued are573 objects, down to the photographic magnitude of about 17, in the skyarea of some 300 square degrees.

A morphological study of ultraviolet-excess galaxies
A number of ultraviolet-excess galaxies have been detected during thecourse of surveys using the Kiso Schmidt telescope. In this paper, aclassification scheme is proposed for 142 selected objects on the basisof their morphological features, and the relation between themorphological type and the degree of ultraviolet excess is presented. Ingeneral, irregular galaxies with conspicuous H II regions and pairgalaxies tend to show higher degree of ultraviolet excess, while thedegree in spiral galaxies appears to range widely.
